I love being a tutor and have to say that my involvement in tutoring has been exceptional. It is such a treat working with individuals who are vested in their education and really are committed to doing well. I graduated from the Universidad del Valle in Colombia and obtained my bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. After graduation I moved to the US and went to Union County College where I received my AS degree, with a focus on math. I have tutored students in Spanish and math for a few years at the Academic Learning Center at Union County College. I am also able to work with students who need assistance with algebra, calculus, statistics, trig, and all levels of Spanish.I find it extremely gratifying to see a student go from being dependent on a tutor for their learning/education to being self-reliant after they have learned some important skills through our time together. I firmly maintain my belief that having a strong education is a crucial part of having an improved quality of life. In my spare time, I really enjoy reading and attending dance classes.
