Education
I came from the Dominican Republic 5 years ago. I started High School at Liberty High School, where I got an award for being on of the best students for the month in ESL class, even though I did not know much English at the moment. However, with work and dedication I comprehended and sort of spoke English in 6 months. From there, I moved to Bayonne NJ and I went to Bayonne High School. In Bayonne HS, I did my Junior year and took my HSPA exam, which I passed with 320 points for English and 334 points for Math. After I was done with my Junior year, I moved to Elizabeth and graduated from Dwyer Tech Academy in 2014. On that same year I went started college at Devry University; right now I am Sophomore majoring on Web Development.
Experience
Since I came from the Dominican Republic, language was always an issue and I found out I was not the only one. As I was learning English, I tried to translate and explain what they had to do in each class to native Spanish speakers and non-Spanish speakers as well. Because of this, I was chosen as the leader of most groups in High School. I was very flexible with the language and knew what was going on in the class; that is why I want to be a tutor, I want to help others that are not so good understanding certain stuff, so that they can use that information and apply it in the future. However, is not only about teaching, I will also might be able to learn new stuff with each people that I tutor; if at any moment I don't know the info that has been given to you, I am up to researching and learning it to explain to you. I am here to help!

One of the things that I like to do is play sports, I play: Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Tennis. The sport that I like the most is Baseball, I am a fan of the Yankees, so if you are from the Red Sox I hate you, just kidding. I also like to read, I like to sit down and relax while I read a book. I read from Psychology to Adult Fiction, I really have no boundaries. I am the type of person that likes to help people the most I can, because I went through a lot of difficulties while I was growing up and studying, so I want other people to not go through the same thing.
