My background includes more than four years of classroom teaching for Writing, Communication and English Literature. In addition, I have years of experience mentoring and training new hires at two business newspapers. I have a wealth of experience as a business newspaper writer and editor which makes me uniquely qualified to teach English because I designed my own training regimen for new reporter hires. I also developed my own lesson plans for the college level English Comp, English Lit, Business Communication and ESL English classes I taught. Many of the principles I employ to teach reading, writing and speaking are the same ones I’ve polished over the years as an Editor tasked with training new writers. I also have experience tutoring neighborhood youths.
